Iowa artists, children, and others design and
donate one-of-a-kind pottery pieces for Pottery for Prevention.
These unique artworks, combined with value-added enhancements
such as gift certificates, services, and other goods, are sold
at auction during the event. In its first two years Pottery for
Prevention netted $60,000 for Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. All donations
are tax deductible.

Prevent Child Abuse Iowa works to spread the message that “Protecting
Children is Everyone’s Business.”
“We want to do everything we can to make families stronger
and children safer,” said Steve Scott, executive director
of Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. “It is everyone’s responsibility
to protect the children of this community, and this is one way
people can become involved in the prevention of child abuse and
neglect.”
