“Turning Words into Action: Communicating Effectively Across Multiple Audiences”

December 2006-January 2007

 

Prevent Child Abuse Iowa, Community Empowerment, and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children partnered to host four training sessions across the state on marketing and communications strategies. Leah Schomburg, a Prevent Child Abuse Iowa board member and Vice President of Marketing Services for Trilix Marekting Group in Des Moines, facilitated the trainings. Seventy-two participants representing more than 50 counties learned t o ols to develop workable systems that deliver consistent, pro-active messages that tell an organization’s story effectively in order to achieve organizational goals.

Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

May 2006

 

Prevent Child Abuse Iowa, Blank Children’s Hospital, Community Empowerment, Child Care Resource & Referral,Department of Education, Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and Orchard Place partnered to host a training session on two sexual abuse prevention curricula, Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development™ and Care for Kids. Nurturing Healthy Sexual Development™ is designed for a parent audience, and Care for Kids is designed for children, child care providers and parents. Prevent Child Abuse Vermont staff provided the training. For more information on the training, click here.
