AmeriCorps: Member Request for Proposal
The application for AmeriCorps members is typically available mid-June and due mid-July. The service year begins September 1 and concludes August 31. Community Partnership sites that receive Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) funding and Child Abuse Prevention Councils that receive Iowa Child Abuse Prevention Program (ICAPP) funding are eligible to apply for an AmeriCorps member.
In exchange for their time, AmeriCorps members receive an annual education award and living expenses with access to health and childcare benefits. Members can serve up to two years.
