PCA Iowa closely monitors issues discussed during the state legislative session and works to build support for policies and programs that better protect children and strengthen families. Our effectiveness, however, depends on a broad network of advocates who speak up on behalf of children.
Participate in advocacy efforts
You have an opportunity to influence Iowa’s laws by contacting your state and community leaders. Ask them what they are doing to prioritize children’s healthy development and the future well-being of our state. Share stories of services that helped you as a parent or prevention efforts that made a difference in your community. Urge them to vote for bills that focus on supporting families and preventing child abuse.
