Get Involved
Although most people find value in creating a state free of child abuse, few people understand the contributions they can make toward making this a reality. However, everyone can do something, considering time, skills and interests of individuals.
When we make investments in children and families, the next generation will pay it back through a lifetime of productivity and responsible citizenship. There are a number of ways people can support Prevent Child Abuse Iowa’s mission to end child abuse throughout the state:
Educate – inform friends and family of resources that prevent child abuse; the importance of ending child abuse; and what they can do to get involved.
Advocate – urge legislators to vote on behalf of bills, which positively impact children and families in our state.
Donate – make a financial contribution to support organizations working to prevent child abuse.
Participate – involve yourself in groups and projects that bring attention to child abuse prevention. Join the board of a non-profit, direct a fundraiser, or plan a public awareness event.
